Mark's own experience involved struggling with poor mental health, including anxiety, low self-esteem, and depression from an early age. In his early 20s, he fell into a pattern of binge drinking and experimenting with illicit drugs, which led to addiction and eight years of suffering. However, he made the decision to seek rehabilitation and began his journey towards recovery. His story is raw and powerful, breaking down stigmas associated with mental health and addiction.

  3. Erika McInerney has been working in advertising and marketing for 28 years and, along the way has completed a stack of qualifications and has worked in agencies in Melbourne and London before returning to Gippsland in 2011 to raise her family, co-create the Warragul Farmers Market and volunteer for a number of well-known local events. It was these last two things that led her to this next stage of her career.

Erika has two big passions - her family and helping small towns thrive by empowering local businesses with the skills and confidence they need to succeed in marketing and social media.

Through her business @mac_ernie Erika has spent the last eight years focused on mentoring and training business owners and community groups across Australia and New Zealand. A role that has seen her win multiple awards and finalist nominations for her commitment to regional and rural businesses.

Not content with just the sales success, Erika wants to help people actually enjoy "wearing the marketing hat" and, to that end, she has built up a stack of tips and strategies to spend less time with more impact. It's this topic that Erika will be covering at our Networking Evening on the 15th May.
